Barges or Travelers on The Hudson (Short Story Slam Week 25)

Traveling along the shore
of the Atlantic ocean,
They carry travelers of all walks,
Unlike old barges
that carry poverty or illegal immigrants,
Today's barges are named Fancy,
adding colors to their tuneless body
from the sunny sky, they turn black
when shadows sink down,
over their freight,
business could go wild then,
It's a dim pride of ocean,
back and forth,
day and night,
barges speak up,
in their motionless moves,
The clear-headed stars argue
that darkness alone
with a lighted barge
does the wonder to the world,
maybe the stars are correct.
